    THIS IS THE VIDEO I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!! Anymore on the positive training without the clicker would be great. I love your vids because you use all different dogs and more real life situations. Everyone can really see how this principle works! Thanks!!

    Great video Emily. I have a few clients that don’t like to use a clicker, and I have a few dogs who are afraid of it. Marker words are great for trainers too, especially when we accidently leave our clickers at home. Oops!

    Hi, your videos, presentation, brevity and just the graciousness you are sharing all of your knowledge is wonderful. Thank you sooooooooooo much. Can i ask you, were on your site can I find the best A-to-Z on training my dog to do ‘Freestyle’ moves (i.e., back up, spin, etc)? I paid to have someone help with it here in Asia but, was disappointmented. Asia just doesn’t have the expertise found in Europe or Northern America

    This works well for me because I keep loosing clickers! Thank you for all your vids you have helped me so much. I am having so much trouble teaching my little Rat Terrier to cross his legs. How do you get them to target across?

  13. AntiChrizt says:

    oh you are so not used to live in Sweden with that naked neck :)

  14. kikopup says:

    @dogdewdogschool yes <that is a great idea. I clap to mark my dog for catching the frisbee perfectly at a far distance. <its also great because it teaches dogs to like applause

  15. kikopup says:

    @Ega060295 malmo

  16. kikopup says:

    @CamaroJackRussell I would use it for teaching the things that are most important to you and that you want to train the most reliably

  17. kikopup says:

    @tadbubs Kay Laurence has a great book I believe its called Dances with Dogs and Mary Rays freestyle books are also great! :)

  18. kikopup says:

    @imaiken1 Keep trying different things, you can also try getting your dog to target your hand instead of a target- and if you lay your hand over the other leg that is not supposed to cross, it can help the dog to know which paw to cross if the dog is confused

  19. kikopup says:

    @AntiChrizt haha, yes, I have never worn anything around my neck, as I lived in Africa and California so I find it oppressive. I guess ill get used to it

    Patricia McConnell says that “yes” sounds like a predatory animal to many dogs. The “sss” sound sounds like a snake. Ever since I heard her say this in a seminar I switched to “good dog!”. McConnell nowadays is using “click”. Yes, she verbally says “click”. lol.
