I crate trained my lab puppy and it was the best thing I ever did. We are a military family so we know we’ll have to move several times in the dog’s life, plus we have two young kids. Lilly (the dog) knows that her crate is her space and she can go there to get away from everyone. Also, when we travel, we take her crate and then even when we’re at a hotel, Lilly has her home (also ensures there won’t be any damage to the hotel room). It’s so much less stress on the animal.
