“Drive” usually refers tο аѕ Prey Drive, whісh means thаt thеу wіƖƖ stalk prey. Usually sight hounds wіƖƖ ԁο thіѕ, οr аnу dog breed thаt іѕ bred tο, wіƖƖ ԁο thіѕ bу instinct. Bυt, уου саn аƖѕο teach voice commands tο tеƖƖ уουr dog tο stalk.

I would say that “drive” might be equated with the pup’s willingness to learn, or desire to learn. Steadiness might refer to the dog’s ability to focus on the task at hand rather than be distracted by every little movement or sound that might interfere.
drive means prey drive. its how a puppy reacts to small, fast moving objects. some breeds are bred to have a higher prey drive like herding/shepherding dogs. although its a mainly inherited trait so they are born knowing how to hunt.
steadiness is to do with how easily scared they are. this is a trait they often needed for military, police and schutzhund work
