I can usually find a boot in my closet to kick my dog. This has stopped almost all bad behavior from all my pets and is a blast to do. They love it when I bring out that size 11, you should see how excited they get.
The first source is your local library. Check out some good training books. There are many and they are free for checking out with your library card. You can also look into some good quality training classes in your area. Stay away from box store training like PetsMart and PetCo as those are a disappointment for many people.
